大人常埋怨八十後沒有毅力，沒有熱誠，沒有上進心。但在現今香港社會只講求關係家底，不講求實力技術工藝，貧富小孩的起跑線相距日趨漸遠，努力又如何，辛辛苦苦考進大學（現今學校入學準則是看父母有多少錢送小朋友進興趣班補習班），換來只是四千元月薪的工，還要任勞任怨。然後大人又會說，咩都要做呀，俾d心機捱下就得。其實倒不如直接說只要努力搞關係就可以了，比較實際。有錢小孩讀不成書可以去外國可以讀國際學校，不懂中文反而是地位象徵，求其撈個學位回來還可以靠關係找工作，有錢人服務有錢人。還沒有開始，你的起跑線已經在終點，那我還跑來幹嗎。八十後沒有問題嗎？也不是，只願意在父母預備好的跑道作賽，沒人越線沒人犯規，換來沉默沉悶的一代。
